The African Institute of Mental Health is an African-led, non-governmental organization committed to advancing mental health and psychosocial well-being across Sub-Saharan Africa.
In regions affected by conflict, economic hardship, and domestic violence, mental health needs are high and services remain limited. Drawing on first-hand experience and strong community partnerships, we work with mental health professionals and local stakeholders to promote accessible, culturally relevant, and evidence-based mental health interventions.
Our mission is to strengthen individual resilience, community well-being, and sustainable development by ensuring that mental health is recognized as a public health and development priority.
